1. Information We Collect #
1.1 Information You Provide
- Account information: email address, display name, password (hashed), profile photo, and other registration details when you create an account.
- Listings & content: titles, descriptions, images, contact information, and other content you submit when creating listings, posts, or messages in the App.
- Payment data: when you make purchases or payments (handled by Stripe), we receive payment token/transaction IDs and minimal card metadata from Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Support and correspondence: any messages you send to our support team, including attachments.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Usage data: analytics events, pages/screens visited, feature usage, timestamps, crash logs, and performance data.
- Device & network information: device model, OS version, unique device identifiers, IP address, mobile carrier, and language settings.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Authentication providers: if you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g., Google, Apple), we may collect the name and email address provided by that provider.
- Payment processors: Stripe provides us confirmation of payments, customer identifiers, and webhook events.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide and maintain the App and backend services (user accounts, listings, messaging, payments).
- Process payments and refunds via Stripe and keep necessary records for transaction management.
- Personalize your experience and show relevant content.
- Communicate with you about your account, orders, and policy changes.
- Improve and analyze the App using analytics and crash reporting.
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and illegal activity.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (where applicable)
If you are in a jurisdiction that requires this (e.g., EEA), we rely on one or more of the following legal bases: your consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests (e.g., fraud prevention, service improvement).
5. Third-Party Services
- Firebase: We use Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime DB, Storage). Firebase’s use of your information is governed by Google’s privacy policies.
- Stripe: Payment processing is performed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes payment information; see Stripe’s Privacy Policy for details.
- Other analytics and crash-reporting providers may be used; check the App settings or contact us for specifics.
6. Storage and Security
- Data storage: Your data is stored in our backend and in third-party services (e.g., Firebase). We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information.
- Payment data: We do not store full payment card details. Card processing is handled by Stripe which is PCI-DSS compliant.
- Security practices: We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and follow best practices, but no system is 100% secure — we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal data as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and for legitimate business purposes. You can request deletion (see Section 9).
8. International Transfers
Your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data protection laws. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual protections) are in place.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights such as:
- Access: request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: request deletion of your data (subject to legal exceptions).
- Portability: request a machine-readable copy of your data.
- Restriction or objection: request restriction of processing or object to processing.

10. Children
The App is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have collected personal data from a child under 16, contact us and we will take steps to delete the information.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated policy in the App and updating the Effective Date above.
